Excellently said, there are times when things get so heated and so full of our own passions that it is easy to lose sight of what is really important in life and what matters most. You nailed it in saying that there is room for agreeing to disagreeing on various topics and that there really is no one supreme way of doing anything. I too am blame-worthy of getting lost within my own adrenaline-fueled thoughts and lost sight of the happier and more positive ways to finding common grounds when outreaching to others. All that can be done is express a heart-felt and sincere apology and continue in working on making the present and future all the more welcoming and inviting, and not sully what it means to be a skeptic or atheist or whatever one chooses to be. There are a lot more serious issues in the world, like the one you listed in this post, that need more of our energy. Great job Heidi on putting all of it into perspective.
